Fleishman Hillard evolves and expands Avaya solution
Challenge: Global Public Relations firm desired deployment of Microsoft Lync Enterprise as a UC platform and Exchange 2010 UC Messaging while maintaining Avaya CM control of trunking, feature set and endpoints. Customer requires use of mobile Lync clients via Microsoft border servers without VPN for remote access.
Solution: Upgrade Avaya Aura solution to 6.2, move core servers to data center creating hybrid cloud and deploy Session Manager, Leverage Session Manager to connect Lync and Aura for advanced integration. Connect Aura to Exchange 2010 UC for voicemail. Client can place or receive calls via Lync, Avaya endpoint, or mobile device whenever, wherever.
Result: Desired usage enabled with high level of satisfaction. Customer’s goals achieved, while utilizing their existing Avaya infrastructure investment. Foundation and flexibility now in place to support further evolution of voice infrastructure.
